BOARD OF DIRECTOR PACKETS NOW AVAILABLE
Are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors for Alger Delta Cooperative Electric? The cooperative will be holding director elections in three of its nine districts:
- District 1: Big Bay
- District 6: Nathan/White Rapids
- District 9: Hiawatha/Maple Ridge
Individuals, just like you, serve on the Board of Directors for Alger Delta Cooperative Electric Association. Your electric cooperative is a democratically controlled organization; it does not have stockholders. Therefore, the Board is not made up of individuals looking for significant returns on their investments. Instead, it is governed by local members who have the best interests of the cooperative and its members at heart. The Board members are elected by you, the member.
To qualify for serving on the board, you must receive electric service within the district up for election, meaning all directors are members.
To be eligible for election to the Board, a member must meet the qualifications outlined in Alger Delta's bylaws. Additionally, they must file a nomination petition that includes valid signatures from at least 10 members within their district.
The deadline for submitting this petition is February 3, 2025.
